Job Description

NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore), the principal academic affiliate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, seeks an exceptional and energetic physician to serve as Director of the Center for Personalized Medicine. This position includes administrative and clinical responsibilities within the Center for Personalized Medicine and will reside within the Department of Medicine or other agreed-upon specialty based on applicant’s background.

NorthShore’s Center for Personalized Medicine encompasses one of the most comprehensive personalized medicine programs in the country. The Director is responsible for leading the strategic vision, tactical implementation, operational conduct, and programmatic integration of the Center. This role will collaborate with interdisciplinary leadership to effectively optimize NorthShore’s clinical, research and educational missions. Qualified candidates will be proposed for an academic appointment to the Pritzker School of Medicine.


The successful candidate will be a board certified clinician (MD or DO) in a related field with 5-10 years successful practice experience and a proven track record in Genetics or Genomic Medicine. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be a collaborative educator possessing outstanding communication and interpersonal ability and a philanthropic/entrepreneurial approach. Skill in Clinical Informatics is a plus.
