The Molecular Pathology Laboratory in the Department of Pathology at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is an accredited provider of molecular testing services for cancer diagnosis and personalised medicine. We also develop in-house diagnostic and predictive services based on advanced genomic and bioinformatic technology and are currently expanding in this area.
An exciting position exists for a Medical Scientist to work in the Molecular Pathology Diagnostic Development Team to analyse and clinically report on data from targeted parallel sequencing assays and to assist is the development of the next generation of cancer testing technologies. The position is initially available for one year with a strong possibility of renewal.
You will collaborate closely with the Molecular Genomics Core Facility and the Bioinformatics Core Facility at the Peter Mac, and other scientists at Peter Mac and at peer institutes throughout Australia and the world who curate cancer genomic data for clinical interpretation.
