Job Description

As technical lead and product manager for the ELIXIR Compute Platform you will bring together computational resources, data transfer services and Authentication and Authorisation Infrastructure capabilities from across ELIXIR’s national Nodes and e-Infrastructure collaborators. You will support our Compute Platform Leadership team with day-to-day management and coordination for the Platform and ensure that strategic roadmaps and operational plans are in place. Your will oversee the technical planning and coordinate working groups, whilst documenting progress and impact.  

Requirements

All roles require a university degree in life-science, computer science, engineering or another quantitative discipline with solid interest and 5+ years of experience of computational service provision within an international research environment. Research experience and good knowledge of bioinformatics and life-science data management is a strong asset as is professional experience of scientific or technical services management, delivery and/or consulting.

The ideal candidates have a demonstrated ability to coordinate and motivate technical teams in geographically distributed environments to deliver against challenging goals and timelines. A high level of literacy is required with documented ability to effectively communicate with excellent verbal and written English. ELIXIR works with partner institutes across our national Nodes and working knowledge of additional European languages is a strong asset for the roles.
