Computational Post Doc
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory invites applications for a post-doctoral position in the laboratory of Jesse Gillis. The focus will be on using gene networks to explore the functional connection between neuropsychiatric disease candidates. Potential projects include developing gene networks tailored to conditions of interest (such as age or tissue), meta-analysis of expression data, developing new ways to computationally interpret gene function, and other questions at the systems level of computational genomics.
The successful candidate will join a team at the Stanley Institute for Cognitive Genomics at CSHL working to identify the genetic causes of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and major depression. This interdisciplinary project offers opportunities to address fundamental questions in computational genomics with first access to large novel genomic data sets. The expected duration of the position is 3-5 years with renewal at the end of each year.
