Job Description

• Work with a cross-functional team of scientists, software developers, engineers and medical professionals to develop a novel Clinical NGS informatics platform.
• Build and support cutting-edge pipelines for the analysis and interpretation of clinical NGS data from variant calling, classification, and interpretation.
• Analyze clinical assay validation data sets to determine optimal computational pipelines.
• Implement cutting-edge computational methods and develop novel solutions through software enhancements that touch all aspects of NGS data analysis.
• Ensure that software adheres to regulatory requirements required of clinical diagnostic laboratories.
• Maintain expertise in the science and application of genomic technologies.


• Masters degree and 2+ years or BS degree and 4+ years experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience); preferred degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, or other relevant discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Next Generation Sequence analysis; Genome Annotation.
• Demonstrated fluency in UNIX/Linux and high performance computing environments
• Demonstrated programming/scripting ability in languages such as Perl/Python/Java/C++ and familiarity with principles of object oriented programing
• Experience in algorithm generation and/or computational methods implementation
• Familiarity with statistical/mathematical packages such as R/MATLAB
