Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer or COO to oversee our healthcare organization’s ongoing operations and procedures. You will be the company’s second-in-command and responsible for the efficiency of business. The COO role is a key member of the senior management team. You’ll have to maintain control of diverse business operations, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader. If you have excellent people skills, business acumen, exemplary work ethics, and experience in the healthcare and IT industries, we’d like to meet you. The goal of the COO position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains a current knowledge of healthcare industry operations trends and changes and ensures the company is prepared and compliant.
  • Works as a partner with the C-Suite and ensures that there is an open line of communication and positive interaction.
  • Provide overall direction for one or more departments.
  • Improve efficiency and quality in delivering healthcare technology services.
  • May assist with budgets and spending to ensure departments operate within funding limits.
  • Evaluate operational processes by analyzing business objectives and patient needs.
  • Collaborate with the CPO and CEO to accomplish company goals by aligning strategies.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management that supports the mission and values of Neomeda.
  • Oversee assigned operations daily and reports directly to the CEO.
  • Responsible for driving the company to achieve high quality services, programs and business goals and objectives.
  • Implement and collaborate with CPO and CEO on strategic planning for organizational growth.
  • The COO will take Neomeda business goals and translate them into day-to-day standard operating procedures.
  • Inform CPO and CEO regularly of internal organization matters and program success.
  • Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all programs. Provides timely, accurate, and complete data driven reports on the operating condition of Neomeda.
  • Create data collection reporting system establishing data metrics system for all service programs.
  • He or she will monitor and assess ongoing strategies, conduct bottleneck corrections and generally keep the executive team informed of Neomeda’s programs and operations.
  • Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
  • Collaborate with the C-Suite staff to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate growth objectives of our organization.
  • Assist the CFO with financial projections and analyses of existing programs and policies.
  • Manage budgeting and resource allocation efforts alongside executives and department directors.
  • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the corporation.
  • Serve as a public representative of Neomeda, in the absence of the CEO, keeping Neomeda current and an active participant in regional and community events.
  • Ensure all program initiatives align with the company’s mission and culture.
  • COO will be an internal advocate for efficiency, productivity and professional development.
  • Adhere to all Neomeda information security policies and protect all sensitive information including client information and ePHI/PHI in accordance with organizational policy HIPAA, Federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business or similar desirable.
  • 5+ years’ experience in healthcare (EMRs, Diagnostics, or Hospitals). (Required).
  • Prior experience at a start-up company.
  • 3+ years' experience at a healthcare IT company.
  • Demonstrated success of operations, project and people management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Highly motivated and energetic with strong interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with and influencing internal stakeholders, customers, and senior leaders.
  • Ambitious, driven, persistent, and confident in own ability to achieve targets.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and adaptability to be successful in a fast-paced, results-orientated, changing environment.
  • Proven strategic thinker with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, direct, and motivate the team to achieve their potential.
  • Ability to initiate as well as support, change, and implement initiatives that will contribute to continuous improvement activity within the department.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects/priorities and deliver tight deadlines.
