Job Description

Invitae is looking for a dynamic and pragmatic leader for its cardiology client acquisition team, with significant expertise in commercializing new technologies in the US cardiology market.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Work cross-functionally across Invitae to lead the commercial growth of our cardiology business:

Cardiology Client Acquisition Team Lead

  • Act as the team lead for our cardiology client acquisition team, leading the drive to grow Invitae’s volume in the US cardiology market by working with cross-functional team members to:
    • Set and execute Invitae’s strategy for gaining share in the existing cardiology genetic testing market
    • Create and execute plans to grow the cardiology genetic testing market
    • Drive public awareness of the utility and applicability of cardio genetic testing
    • Use data to identify opportunities for continuous improvements of the team’s efforts, create plans to address opportunities and execute them


Channel & Business Development

  • Drive strategy and prioritization of conversations with potential channel and business development partners
  • Work with members of the cardio client acquisition team and other Invitae team members to develop relationships and execute partnerships that move the needle for Invitae’s business


Marketing & Sales Support

  • Work with Invitae’s marketing team to develop thoughtful, integrated campaigns which help to advance cardio genetic testing and Invitae’s presence in that market
  • Support the Invitae Sales team in calling on key accounts


Solution Development

  • Work with the cardio client acquisition team, product management, medical affairs and other groups within Invitae as appropriate to develop solutions to customer pain points based on Invitae’s testing platform to help accelerate Invitae’s growth


Advocacy, Professional Societies & Other Partners

  • Help prioritize, maintain and build mutually beneficial partnerships for Invitae and key groups in cardiology, including advocacy groups and professional societies
Requirements

Education & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 15+ years of work experience in relevant commercial functions, including: sales, marketing, product management, business development, strategic planning, management consulting or similar
  • Experience bringing new technologies or first of a kind products to market in cardiology
  • A track record across your work history of leading cross-functional teams to impressive achievements
  • Experience with companies across a range of stages of development and corporate maturity
