Business Development Director-Lab Medicine & Pathology

Rochester, MN

Seeking business development professional for a director-level position at Mayo Clinic. Ideal candidate will have significant expertise in developing and executing strategic collaborations and partnerships. Must possess strong interpersonal and negotiating skills and be fluent in complex contract development. Ideal candidate will be very familiar with intellectual property issues and business planning. This is not a sales position.

Responsible for identifying, evaluating, structuring, negotiating and directing new income generating strategic business opportunities to support Mayo’s laboratory business. This includes product and service development initiatives as well as other strategic partnerships to reach new markets and offer new products/services. Responsible for corporate alliance management of key partnerships.

Master’s degree (MBA, JD, MA or related) required and ten years business experience required including demonstrated ability to develop new partnerships/collaborations, direct negotiations and address intellectual property issues. Some domestic and international travel required.
