Job Description

Poviding the highest quality service and support in order to maximize the efficiency of our financial administration operations

Experienced, collaborative Business Analyst who can easily take the lead to define and analyze financial business user requests, apply a thorough knowledge of the needs of business users and knowledge of Peoplesoft Financial Management system to identify and design improvements that deliver the most cost effective solutions. Additional responsibilities include defining functional requirements, devising test plans & test data, testing new or enhanced application functionality, developing and delivering training upon release of new functionality. In addition to improvements, the business analyst will interface with users to resolve problems, provide functional leadership over developers coordinating activities to align with project schedules and ensure quality control standards are met. You will challenge yourself with a wide variety of requests & projects. You are capable of understanding the big picture, including best practices for Finance Applications and have the ability to apply a disciplined and detail- oriented approach to execution.

Application Support
- Perform troubleshooting and support to Peopleosoft Financial Modules
- Serve as a liaison between end users , subject matter experts and technical support related to issue resolution. Document and communicate problem resolution
- Manage testing of system fixes, new patch releases or enhancements in order to ensure functionality and user acceptance
- Approach problems and requests with a strong sense of ownership, initiative, and tenacity
- Excel in detailed analysis and problem solving
- Provide support for requests from the users including "how to", data queries and training

Enhancements
- Gather and document business requirements.
- Analyze and improve business processes by analyzing how technology can be best utilized to help service our customers
- Research best practices and analyze current processes & utilization of current systems and make recommendations for development, improvements, patches or simplification
- Assess benefits to be derived from system improvements or software implementations and quantify the impacts to the business units
- Interpret internal business challenges and pain points and recommend best practices to improve applications, processes, or services
- Provide leadership in the evaluation, conceptualization, design, and development of new capabilities with the financial management business systems

Project Execution
- Lead the project team in completing the design, development and/or configuration of enhancements, new business systems and process improvements
- Create & maintain test plans and test scripts
- Drive the team to deliver solutions with consistency and quality
- Build collaborative relationships
- Support the planning related to resources, capabilities, and capacity to meet existing and new demands
- Lead in defining best practice configurations & processes within the financial business systems
- Provide support to the Project Management Lead in development of project plans, estimation of work, and creation of project timelines
- Conduct regular meetings with business key stakeholders and provide regular status on IT development efforts
- Create and apply global process standards to the current Peoplesoft Financials
