Job Description

Work within our fast growing team to provide bioinformatics support, services and new solutions on the market. The key activities for this position include: performing exploratory and routine bioinformatics analyses as a service to clients, help in developing novel analytic techniques to better address the scientific gaps as new products and services, identify and pursue opportunities for new collaborations and research funding. 


Education and past experience required:

  1. Ph.D. degree or 5 years’ experience in research oriented position in bioinformatics, statistical modelling or related scientific field.
  2. Experience in writing high impact scientific publications (please provide a sample as reference).
  3. Strong scripting and programming abilities.
  4. Experience with molecular level data.
  5. Ability to develop and deploy bioinformatics analytical pipelines in well-established software such as R or SAS.
  6. Experience in project management.

Additional characteristics considered assets

  1. Fluent in Greek, English or Russian.
  2. Experience in experimental design and analyses of clinical trials or large epidemiological studies.
  3. Knowledgeable and experienced in securing research funding.
  4. Experience with de-novo alignment of genetic, or transcriptome data.
  5. Experience with cloud computing (e.g. Amazon AWS) and version control, and past development activity in the open source community.
  6. Varied educational or industry experiences, enabling the development of new approaches to difficult problems.
