Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated data scientist to play a key role in our Research and Development team. The scientist will be responsible for the development of methods, analysis, pipelines, and algorithms of next-generation sequencing data, for genotyping, diagnostics and microbiome applications. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of bioinformatics as well as knowledge of molecular biology and genomics.

The successful candidate will:

  • Independently design, conduct, manage and analyze projects and experiments;

  • Utilize computer programing language(s) and apply standard bioinformatics tools

    and pipelines for the analysis of sequence datasets resulting from genomics,

    metagenomics and transcriptomics;

  • Work in a linux high-performance computing environment and interact with a team

    of computer scientists;

  • Collaborate with the molecular biology team to interpret results and design follow

    up experiments;

  • Collaborate with the commercial team to map the translation of the novel

    developments to the operational pipeline;

  • Write reports for publication and internal use. 

  1. Ph.D. degree in computational biology or related field and a track record of reliability, productivity and team-based success through previous work experience. Experience analyzing next generation sequencing data is required as well as strong interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully complete projects. Knowledge of experimental variables that impact sequencing and genotyping methods is preferred. Be capable of working independently as well as in teams. The successful candidate will start immediately.
