Job Description

We are seeking a skilled bioinformatician to join our growing bioinformatics team. The post-holder will have core responsibilities in building and maintaining the underpinning workflows that assure timely and accurate processing of raw data as it is produced. The post includes roles in pipeline workflow programming, development and implementation of quality assurance metrics, LIMS integration and bespoke data analyses.


The post-holder must have graduate qualifications in informatics, bioinformatics or computing applied to biological questions, at least to MSc level, and a high level of skill and several years’ recent experience in programming (particularly Python or Perl), Linux systems administration experience and understanding of workbench and pipelining systems. Excellent project management, communication, team working, science writing, and presentation skills are essential.
