Requirements: 

Main Duties and Responsibilities 
Medimmune has an opportunity for a Associate Scientist I/II in the Analytical Sciences Department.  The successful candidate will carry out analytical testing using Electrophoresis, Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, and/or other biophysical techniques in supporting in-process testing and characterization of biopharmaceutical products and impurities. He/she will need to develop and qualify analytical methods, write SOP and technical reports, help preparing regulatory filings and responses. The candidate will work on complex and technically demanding projects where analysis of data requires an evaluation of multiple variables. The candidate will make detailed experimental observations, review and analyze data, interpret experimental results, and summarize for presentations and reports.  The ability to follow SOPs, policies, and regulations, and to perform routine lab equipment maintenance is required.  As the position will require constant collaborative interactions with co-workers across functional groups, he/she must be able to work in a matrix structure and interface with different groups within research and development. The successful candidate must have excellent oral communication skills, good time management and outstanding multi-tasking abilities, and a fast-paced team-centered setting. The candidate might be expected to present scientific data to both internal audiences within the company and external scientific colleagues.
Essential Requirements 
Education :   BS, MS, or equivalent in Chemistry or Biochemistry with at least 6 year hands-on lab experiences
Experience :  BS 2-10 years, MS 2-5 year work experience. Industry experience is preferred
The candidate must have some background in protein chemistry, expert on at least one of the analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, gel electrophoresis, cIEF, mass spectrometry, or particle characterization. Great teamwork and communication skills, both verbal and written, are critical. Good multi-tasking, time management and organizational skills are required.
Desirable Requirements 
Previous GLP and/or cGMP experience is desirable.
