Position: Associate Product Manager

Description:

BioReference/GeneDx, Inc., an industry-leader in molecular genetic testing, is searching for an Associate Product Manager to help lead and expand some of our current product lines. This position is located on-site at BioReference headquarters in Elmwood Park NJ.

 

The Associate Product Manager is a key player in the development and execution of the road map for clinical marketing programs for GeneDx. In this position you will be a key player in supporting the design, development, and implementation of marketing campaigns and activities for a specific product line. Additional responsibilities include:

 

  • Works with the Sales and Clinical Team to facilitate physician and patient education through brochures, videos, websites, eblasts, presentations, speaking programs, etc.

  • Works with the Clinical Team in authoring publications, white papers and clinical case studies.

  • Evaluates, understands and predicts competitors’ activities within a specific product line.

  • Provides internal and external training for product portfolio at product launches; provide key information, product differentiators, clinical value, and how to position the test for clients.

  • Ensures that marketing materials are updated and accurate as testing options, literature and client needs evolve. 

  • Attend region and national trade shows to speak with customers and obtain a fuller understanding of how products are being received in the market.

  • Collaborates with key thought leaders in the industry and develop a strong working relationship with them, so they become advisors to the company and advocate the company’s products. Works with scientific advisory board and use their expertise and resources to grow the business.
Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare field, preferably in genetics

  • Knowledge and insight into the clinical diagnostic market

  • Demonstrated ability to learn complex medical topics quickly

  • High energy, enthusiasm and overall positive and proactive attitude
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment

  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of large, interdepartmental  teams

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels, including  clinicians, colleagues, and the lay public

  • Availability to travel 10-20% of the time

 

Minimum educational level/experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years related experience in marketing, clinical diagnostics, genetics services, product management, and/or sales

  • Master’s Degree in Marketing, Genetic Counseling, Business, Health Science, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or related field with 1-2 years of related experience
