Job Description

Intellia Therapeutics is seeking a computational biologist with a strong focus in the analysis of mass spectrometry data to support the development of CRISPR/Cas9 based therapeutics. This position will require working cross-functionally with chemistry and biology to develop pipelines, databases, and analyses to support the use of mass spectrometry data.



  • Develop, deploy, and support pipelines to process various types of data being generated using mass spectrometry

  • Build and support a relational database which stores experimental data and processed results

  • Conduct analyses of processed data using rigorous statistics and display results in visualizations



  • Preferably, experienced with Thermo raw mass spectral data handling including scripting pipelines, automated data base searching, and parameter file building

  • Experience using multiple analyses programs (Proteome Discoverer, PepFinder, ProMass, TPP, MaxQuant, etc)

  • Strong understanding of statistics applied to the analysis of biological and mass spectral data

  • Ability to design, deploy, and support relational databases including using SQL

  • Experience handling data from multiple sample types including protein characterization, proteomics, oligonucleotides, and lipids

  • Demonstrated programming experience in languages such as bash, Python, Matlab, R, or Perl
