New England Biolabs is seeking an Applications and Product Development Scientist to work collaboratively with bench scientists to develop new high throughput sequencing sample-prep methods, build tools, and analyze sequence results. A successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with data from all major sequencing platforms and a broad range of “next generation” sequencing subtypes (DNA-seq, RNA-seq, Methyl-seq, Small RNA-seq, ChIP-seq).
- Collaborate with the NEBNext product development team to create novel NGS sample preparation methods
- Identify and construct new analysis methods and tools to assess and optimize performance of library preparation steps
- Analyze sequence results and produce custom visualizations
- Construct and extend existing systems to integrate sequence results from many experiments
NEB provides an excellent working environment including high quality computational infrastructure, skilled colleagues, and frequent seminars from internal and external scientists, and opportunities to share work internally and at conferences.
