Job Description


Directly responsible for achieving and exceeding the sales objectives and customer relationship management for the PacBio RSII and SMRT™ sequencing range of products within the defined territory. 

Qualify and develop opportunities within the territory as well as maintain and grow the existing customer base. Territory is defined as stated above. 

Develop and execute territory and account specific sales plans that exceed assigned territory bookings and revenue targets. 

Build and establish strong customer relationships with existing user base as well as prospective target customers. 

Work effectively as a team player with all the appropriate departments within the EMEA and global organization with the focus of the goals outlined above. 

Responsible for accurately forecasting territory revenue and sufficiently documenting within SalesForce™ CRM system. 


A deep understanding of the target customer community within the UK and an established knowledge in the Nordic countries. 

Minimum 3+ years or equivalent proven direct sales experience within the life sciences & Genomics market at the level of capital equipment sales.

Understanding of the sales process and ability to influence and manage customer buying decisions as well as navigate across complex organizations. 

Have credibility with target customers at the highest of levels. 

The candidates must be self-starting and motivated to maximize the opportunity for success. This will require the ability to be highly adaptable and independent but be proactive to work with a close team that has a philosophy of contributing to the solution when faced with challenges. 

Scientific or Technical Degree is required, advanced degree preferred. 

Broad understanding of Genomics tools and applications as it relates to customer requirements within the academic, governmental and industrial customer segments. 

Strong communication skills (written and oral) and have a comfort for delivering presentations to larger audiences when required. 

The candidate must be based from home within the UK and is required to travel 75% at a minimum.
