Position Description
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is currently seeking a hardworking individual for a Driver opening. The main purpose of this individual would be to provide transportation services for CSHL personnel and visitors in company vehicles.

Position Responsibilities

Additional Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include providing scheduled and on-demand transportation for employees and visitors on and between CSHL campuses, as well as various locations in the surrounding area via 13 passenger Transit Vans and other passenger fleet vehicles as required. Additional responsibilities include assisting passengers with luggage, and if necessary providing ADA assistance in properly equipped vehicles.

Position Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalency

Experience: A valid and clean driver’s license is required for this position and some related driving experience is preferred. The ability to operate a 13 passenger van is a must.

Other: Physical requirements for this position include sitting in a vehicle for extended periods, climbing in/out of the shuttle, lifting up to 20lbs, and operating ADA equipment on vehicles. Scheduled shifts may include early morning, late evening, and weekend hours.
