We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist I/II to develop and validate assays in the precision medicine space focusing on early to late-stage cancers. You will work closely with talented scientists, and other cross-functional members from Bioinformatics, IT, Operations, Quality and Regulatory. You will design, implement, and validate novel assays to aid cancer patients in their treatment selection. Responsibilities •Build prototypes of new genomic assays that can be refined and launched into a high-volume clinical laboratory •Design, evaluate, and optimize molecular improvements to our existing assays that screen hundreds to thousands of patients per day •Analyze and interpret experimental datasets to drive systematic and efficient iteration cycles •Deepen and broaden your skills by working closely with talented experimental scientists, software engineers, automation engineers, and data scientists •Communicate your results internally to key stakeholders and externally at conferences and in peer-reviewed literature •Manage Research Associates, and may work with partner and outside collaborators Suggested Qualifications and Skills •Ph.D. (or equivalent experience) in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemistry, or a related discipline •Fluency with Illumina NGS technology and the broad range of associated molecular protocols •Experience in epigenetic/methylation, target enrichment, working with cfDNA/RNA/FFPE tissues •Track record of achievement on challenging projects in industry and/or academia •Demonstrated ability to organize, document and communicate scientific data •Experience with coding and comfort with a command-line interface is a huge plus •Team player with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work across functional areas ABOUT MYRIAD GENETICS and MYRIAD'S WOMENS HEALTH •For more information on how Myriad is making a difference, please visit the Company's •You can also visit us at: #LI-DR2 WE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
