Staff Performance Automation Engineer

You’ll be responsible for measuring accuracy and compute load performance for DNA sequencer products. You will gather product requirements. You will apply scientific, engineering, mathematical, and measurement principles to design and implement an automated performance measurement system. You will be part of the complete software development process. You will report to the Associate Director of Test Automation, and you’ll work closely with the software development teams as well as across departments and with partner companies to plan and improve visibility and deliver the fastest feedback possible for development work. 

Skills & Experience Needed
Knowledge and experience of performance measurement principles
Experience in performance testing, tracking, and management
Object-oriented design and coding skills
Strong python skill
Good communication skills
Fast learner

Bonus skills and experience
Knowledge and experience of data science is a plus  
Knowledge and experience of signal processing or genome analysis is a plus 
Knowledge and experience in bioinformatic is a plus

Your Role Includes: 
Gather and understand accuracy requirements for DNA sequencing analytics
Collaborate with correspondent teams to define acceptance criteria
Design, implement, and manage algorithm measurement system
Collect and manage data for analytical accuracy evaluation
Develop tools for performance measurement, analysis, tracking, comparison, and reporting
Perform assessment of analysis algorithms
Identify and report performance issues
Initiate discussion and action for improvement

Key Qualifications
Expertise in performance analysis for bioinformatic products
Experience with performance measurement, assessments, and tracking
Automation coding skills, especially with python
Computer Science or related discipline with a BS/MS/PhD or equivalent experience
