We are looking for someone eager to launch their career and join us at our Silicon Valley campus in Agilent's IT's Unified Communications (UC) and Mobility team. You will be joining a team of highly motivated and hardworking Information Technology (IT) professionals responsible for the delivery of end user solutions that enable Agilent's engineers and scientist to invent, build, and sell state of the art Life Sciences solutions.
You will be working on the team that designs, deploys, and manages UC and mobility (Mobile devices, MDM) solutions globally. Examples of this work include implementing and managing audio, Webex or Telepresence conferencing, Intune MDM solutions, and working with mobile carriers.
In order to be successful in this role, you will rely on your technical education and experience. You will work with team members within your immediate team as well as across IT to trouble shoot issues, evolve the solution, and propose the best solution to address new business needs.
You will also use your superb communication and vendor management skills when working with management, end-users, suppliers, and other colleagues. As this is an entry level position you will learn and grow within the job.
To thrive you must be a self-starter, curious, a quick learner and flexible to work on a variety of tasks including technical and non-technical work as the need arises.
Partner with internal Agilent organizations to understand their business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Participate in the design and deployment of solutions for Unified Communications and Mobility (solutions focusing on mobility, video, audio or web conferencing tools for a global client base of office and remote end users)
Accountable for management of one or more UC and Mobility services for all of Agilent. This includes the day to day operational tasks, working with the technology to try out new features, trouble shoot etc. and develop a roadmap for future releases
Consult and collaborate on issues with teams across IT
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or Management Information Systems (MIS) or equivalent
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- High degree of flexibility, independence, initiative, and detail orientation
- Good knowledge of Networking and Security principles
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Understanding of Project Management principles
- Understanding of business concepts (ROI, budgets, planning)
- May have up to 2 years of experience; talented college graduates will be considered.
