XenoTech to Use Waters Synapt HDMS System for Metabolomics Services

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) - Waters said today that XenoTech, a contract research organization based in Lenexa, Kan., has purchased a Waters Synapt High Definition Mass Spectrometry system.

XenoTech is using the system to provide metabolite profiling services, Waters said.

The CRO is using the Synapt, in combination with a Waters Acquity UltraPerformance Liquid Chromatograph, to provide its clients with in vitro drug metabolism study data.

Waters said that XenoTech purchased the Synapt system after an "exhaustive six-month evaluation of the offerings of all commercial instrument providers."

Financial terms of the agreement were not provided.
