Diatherix, Color Genomics Receive CAP Accreditation

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Diatherix Laboratories, a Eurofins subsidiary, and Color Genomics have both announced accreditation from the College of American Pathologists.

To receive accreditation inspectors examined several laboratory components including records, quality control procedures, sample tracking, staff qualifications, equipment, facilities, safety, and overall management practices.

Diatherix operates a CLIA-certified laboratory in Huntsville, Alabama and performs diagnostic services based on its target-enriched multiplex PCR technology. Eurofins acquired the company in June.

"This recognition represents a significant endorsement of our laboratory's quality standards and services," Diatherix CEO Dennis Grimaud said in a statement.

Color Genomics launched in April and operates a clinical laboratory in Burlingame, California to test for breast and ovarian cancer.
