NEW YORK – Dutch nucleic acid extraction kit manufacturer CleanNA announced Wednesday that it has received CE-IVD marking for its Clean Quick Viral DNA/RNA extraction product.
The solution extracts viral DNA and RNA from nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal swab samples preserved in an inactivating viral transport medium, the company noted in a statement, adding the product is based on magnetic beads and is easy to automate on liquid handlers. The solution, which received CE marking on Feb. 22, was developed for use in diagnostic workflows, and the extracted DNA and RNA is suitable for downstream qPCR applications.
In November, CleanNA received CE-IVD marking for a kit for the isolation of cell-free DNA from human plasma.
