Zyomyx, Incyte Genomics, Proteome Systems, Tecan US


Zyomyx of Hayward, Calif., has launched its Protein Profiling Biochip System, along with a Human Cytokine Biochip. The platform consists of an automated workstation, a scanner, and data analysis software. The biochip can be used to profile 30 cytokines.

Incyte Genomics of Palo Alto, Calif., has added new data to its Proteome BioKnowledge Library in what it calls a Disease Curation Module. The module contains information from 5,415 scientific articles from 263 journals relating to 873 diseases and 1,026 proteins.

Proteome Systems of Sydney, Australia, has launched two new electrophoresis systems. IsoelectrIQ2 can be used for isoelectric fractionation and isoelectric focusing in IPGs, while ElectrophoretIQ3 is made for isoelectric focusing in IPGs, second dimension electrophoresis, and semi-dry blotting.

Tecan US of Research Triangle Park, NC, has launched Aquarius, a standalone multi-channel pipetting instrument; Connect Microplate Stacker System, a batch processing instrument; Te-Mo 3/3, a multi-channel pipetting instrument for the Tecan Genesis platform; and new versions of its Gemini software for control of Genesis and Freedom liquid handlers, and its Magellan software for controlling Tecan microplate readers.
