Waters, Ludesi, Cerno Bioscience

Waters last week introduced its SystemsQT qualification tool for the company’s HPLC and Acquity UPLC systems in an Empower software environment. According to the company, the tool “dramatically” reduces compliance test time compared to traditional paper-based protocols.
It maximizes uptime and productivity by “quickly qualifying instruments added to current system configurations compared to traditional methods,” Waters said in a statement. The SystemsQT tool eliminates most manual calculations and enables faster and easier system-level tests. On average, overall downtime due to system qualification is reduced by 40 percent compared to traditional, paper-based protocols, the company said.

Ludesi this week launched its Redfin Image and Data Management software for 2D gel image analysis. The software features an intuitive user interface allowing researchers to quickly and easily view, analyze, and manage results from Ludesi 2D gel image analysis, the company said.

Cerno Bioscience will unveil MassWorks SCLIPS, the latest addition to its MassWorks MS software portfolio, at Pittcon in March 2008, the company said this week. In a statement, the company said that sCLIPS improves formula identification results from high mass accuracy instruments “providing higher quality, reproducible data through accurate line-shape calibration.” sCLIPS also allows users to get unique formula ID from ion trap MS.
