NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Molecular spectroscopy instruments maker Trinean has signed up Dubai-based Alliance Global Group to distribute its microfluidic spectrophotometers in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia regions, AGBL said today.
Trinean offers the DropSense 96 and the Xpose platforms for nucleic acid and protein quantification and quality control. Trinean also provides a software toolbox for interpreting data and lab automation.
The DropSense 96 UV/VIS droplet reader provides high-throughput quantification in an automated workflow for standardized DNA, RNA, and protein sample analysis. The Xpose is a benchtop spectrophotometer that uses microfluidic slides to provide high-speed biomolecule quantification.
Trinean is a Belgian firm that spun out of Ghent University and Imec Leuven in 2006.
Financial and other terms of the alliance were not disclosed.
