Protagen last week announced that Stefan Müllner has replaced Christopher Hüls as the company’s CEO. Hüls left for personal reasons and will take a new position at an undisclosed pharmaceutical firm. Müllner had been Protagen’s CSO. He is a co-founder of Protagen.
 

 
SAFC, part of the Sigma-Aldrich Group, said this week that Tom Beil was appointed vice president of quality and regulatory affairs, effective July 21.
 
He will lead SAFC’s quality assurance team and oversee all aspects of the company’s regulatory and quality assurance programs. Beil was previously at Centocor/GBSC where he was senior director of site quality. Prior to that, he was associate director of quality assurance at Wyeth. He also was at Sigma-Aldrich from 1986 to 1999 as quality systems manager.
