Somalogic Joins UK Dementias Research Platform

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Somalogic said this week that it has joined the Medical Research Council's UK Dementias Research Platform.

The UKDP is a $27 million public-private partnership that aims to enable earlier detection and improved treatments for dementia. It brings together industry players and investigators from eight universities for research into neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and motor neuron disease.

In additional to Somalogic, the initiative is partnering with companies including MedImmune, GSK; and Janssen Research & Development.
