Reinhard Hiller, Jonathan Blackburn, Roxanne Duan

Protein chip firm GenTel BioSciences said this week Reinhard Hiller and Jonathan Blackburn have joined the company’s scientific advisory board. Both are with the Center for Proteomic & Genomic Research in Cape Town, South Africa. Hiller is the executive director and Blackburn is the research director.
Blackburn was also recently appointed to a research chair in functional proteomics at the Institute of Infectious Disease & Molecular Medicine at the University of Cape Town. He was previously chief scientist at Procognia and was the founding scientist and CSO at Sense Proteomic.

Adlyfe announced this week the appointment of Roxanne Duan as vice president of research. Most recently Duan was vice president of research at Functional Genetics. Adlyfe develops novel technologies for blood testing for early targets of amyloid diseases. It is currently developing a test for the detection and amplification of amyloid proteins as early biomarkers of fatal brain and amyloid disease such as Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.
