Reid Townsend has joined the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. He will be the director of the Washington University Proteomics Center. His new appointment officially starts April 1. In addition to directing the center, he will be an associate professor. Townsend joins the university from Oxford GlycoSciences in Abingdon, UK, where he has been director for proteomics research.
Curt LaBelle has joined the health care investors team of Greenwich, Conn.-based Tullis-Dickerson, a venture capital firm that focuses on biomedical, life sciences, and medical technology, as a senior associate. Previously, he worked for Convergent Ventures, a seed-stage life science venture fund located in Los Angeles, and for Pfizer. LaBelle holds a dual MD/MBA from Columbia University and a BS in economics from Brigham Young University.
