Varian has released the ProStar 335 line of diode array detectors for a variety of HPLC applications. The detectors determine the quantity of each compound by measuring the amount of light absorbed by compounds as they elute from an HPLC column. As with a mass spectrometer, for each analyte, the detector produces a peak in a spectrum. The ProStar is the first scale-up detector that can be used for any application from research to production, according to the company.

Rockland Immunochemicals has made available Phospho-specific Antibodies for basic, applied, and clinical research, the company said this week.
