PerkinElmer, Gilson to Integrate MS/LC Technologies

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – PerkinElmer said today that it will collaborate with Gilson, a maker of purification and extraction systems and a lab services provider, to develop and integrate mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography technologies.

Under the agreement, PerkinElmer will develop a single quadrupole mass spectrometer that Gilson will integrate into its preparative chromatography systems.

Middletown, Wis.-based Gilson will use its Trilution software to integrate the mass spectrometer into its LC and fraction collection technology, giving labs enhanced signal specificity in their data, the firms said.
