LC Packings/Dionex introduced a new Dual Gradient UltiMate Capillary/Nano LC system that allows for parallel capillary/nano LC separations. The system consists of two micropumps, capable of gradient flow rates as low as 50 nl/min.

Beckman Coulter launched its A2 Protein MicroArray platform. It allows for the analysis of up to 13 different analytes in each well of a 96-well plate. The system comprises 96-well plates pre-spotted with oligos, a universal linker reagent kit that sells for $430, a plate reader for $74,000, and software.

Waters released Alliance MD, a new HPLC system for the analysis of complex protein mixtures. It promises enhanced robustness for operation under harsh salt and pH conditions and can be interfaced with Waters and Micromass TOF and quadrupole mass spectrometers.

Thermo Electron introduced a new 100 µm Kappa capillary column for use with electrospray mass spectrometry. The columns are available from 50 mm to 250 mm with a range of packing materials.
