Shimadzu this week announced the launch of its LabSolutions CS chromatography data system for controlling Agilent's 1100, 1200, 1260, and 1290 series HPLC systems.

The product stems from a May 2013 agreement between the two companies to exchange instrument control drivers to allow for integrated control of instruments from both firms, Shimadzu said.
