Shimadzu has launched its new PPSQ series Edman sequencer for producing N-terminal sequencing information on proteins and peptides.
The PPSQ instrument uses HPLC analysis combined with new acquisition/analysis software for improved simplicity and reliability in determining amino acid sequences, the company said. It added that the PPSQ series “offers cost savings of up to 50 percent” compared with the discontinued Procise system from Applied Biosystems.
