New Products: SEND ProteinChip, Maintaining Your Agilent 1100 Series HPLC System, ADIT, PDB CD-ROM

Ciphergen Biosystems has developed SEND ProteinChip arrays with a polymeric coating that interacts with laser energy to create ions directly. The elimination of the need to add chemical “matrix” solutions as a separate step allows for better quantitation and the analysis of low molecular weight molecules, the company claims.

 

Agilent Technologies has published a guide called “Maintaining Your Agilent 1100 Series HPLC System,” which is available on the Agilent web site at www.agilent.com/chem.

 

A workdstation version of ADIT (AutoDep Input Tool), the integrated software system used by PDB annotation staff for checking and editing PDB structure data entries has been released for alpha testing at http://pdb.rutgers.edu/software/. The system includes tools to help users check and prepare structure depositions. The alpha version is currently available in binary form for Linux platforms. The latest PDB CD-ROM (release #99) set is currently being distributed. This release contains the macromolecular structure entries for the 16,972 structures available as of January 1, 2002. Further information is available at http://www.rcsb. org/pdb/cdrom.html.
