Agilent GeneSpring MS software
Allows researchers to easily import, store, and visualize GC/MS and LC/MS data from large sample sets, and to detect changes in the profile of proteins, peptides and metabolites across many samples. Software will be available for order in the third quarter of 2006.
Multiple Affinity Removal System 7
Available in either liquid chromatography column or spin-tube format, the product removes the seven most abundant proteins in human plamsa: albumin, IgG, transferrin, haptoglobin, anti-trypsin, IgA, and fibrinogen.
Offgel Fractionator
Fractionates both intace proteins and peptides by their isoelectric point. Unlike standard gel-based pI fractionation, the system yields fractions in solution, which can be directly subjected to further fractionation, or LC/MS analysis.
8-plex iTRAQ
Still in development, this iTRAQ kit will be able to deal with up to eight different samples in one run. Scientific lectures showing the pioneering use of the reagents were presented at this ASMS. ABI hopes to release the product later this year.
BioiTRAQ Discovery System
Package designed around iTRAQ use includes Tempo Nano-LC system, QSTAR or 4800 mass spec, and iTRAQ chemistry kits.

Bioworks 3.3 protein identification and quantitation software
New version of the software handles major quantitative labeling techniques, including iTRAQ, SILAC, and ICAT, as well as label-free quantitation. Uses Sequest algorithm for the identification of peptides and proteins. Allows users to import Mascot results after a Sequest search has been run.
Electron Transfer Dissociation module
ETD unit fragments peptides and proteins in a way that allows researchers to study post-translational modifications. Unit is retrofittable to all LTQs present in the field, and is sold as an option with all new LTQs.
LTQ FT Ultra hybrid FTICR
Features a new ICR cell design that increases sensitivity to attomole levels, increases dynamic range to over 4000, and increases mass accuracy to ppb levels. Resolution is greater than 1,000,000.
LTQ XL linear ion trap
Extends performance of the LTQ by offering ETD and PQD dissociation techniques, in addition to CID.
Peaks Studio de novo software
Developed by Bioinformatics Solutions, this software provides rapid automatic or manual de novo sequencing.
ProSightPC top-down proteomics software
Software analyzes top-down proteomics data. It uses five different search modes to determine the exact protein sequence, including modifications and alternative splicing.
SIEVE differential expression software
Provides label-free quantitative differential expression analysis of proteins and peptides from multiple LC/MS datasets.
Tissue Imaging software
Available with the LTQ XL, the software allows users to determine the spatial distribution of small molecules or peptide compounds of interest.
Waters Acquity TQD system
Benchtop, tandem-quadrupole, atmospheric pressure ionization mass detector-based system is designed for routine UPLC/MS/MS analyses. Uses IntelliStart technology to automatically calibrate and do performance checks of the instrument.
MALDI Q-Tof Premier mass spec
Upgraded instrument has a 200-Hz solid-state laser that scans faster than the laser in the previous version of the instrument. The improved laser allows for improved mass accuracy and up to 10-fold improvement in sensitivity, according to Waters.
Synapt High Definition Mass Spectrometry System
New class of mass spec employs ion-mobility technology to differentiate ions by size and shape, as well as molecular mass.
