Protein Metrics has launched top-down proteomic analysis as part of the 2.0 release of its Byonic proteomics search engine.

The software offers features including wildcard search, modification fine control, and intact glycopeptide identification the company said. The program can operate either as a standalone or as a module in Thermo Fisher Scientific's Proteome Discover software.


SomaLogic announced that the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine will this summer begin offering access to the company's Somascan assay.

Based on SomaLogic's somamer affinity reagents, the Somascan platform allows for simultaneous quantification of 1,129 proteins.


Phenomenex has released two new phases for its Lux 10 μm chiral bulk media line, Lux Cellulose-3 and Cellulose-4. According to the company, the columns provide increased efficiencies compared to 20 μm media, allowing the use of shorter columns and less solvent.
