Phenomenex this week added 1.3-micron UHPLC columns to its Kinetex core shell product line.

The new columns offer efficiency levels of more than 400,000 plates per meter and offer improved resolution and sensitivity over an extended linear velocity, the company said.

Labcyte announced this week the launch of its Echo 525 Liquid Handler, aimed at applying the company's acoustic liquid handling technology to larger droplet volumes.

The device has a 25 nanoliter increment, which will allow researchers to transfer volumes from hundreds of nanoliters up to 10 microliters with one instrument, the company said.
