Meso Scale Discovery has released its S-PLEX immunoassay platform, which, the company said, is 1,000 times more sensitive than existing ELISA technologies and can detect analytes at concentrations below 1 femtogram per mL.

The company currently offers the platform as an assay development service, but plans in the near future to offer S-PLEX assays in kits compatible with its existing Sector and QuickPlex instruments.

Bio-Rad this week launched its Precision Plus Protein Dual Color Standards for assays including electrophoresis and western blotting. According to the company, it is the brightest protein marker available, allowing for improved monitoring of separations and estimation of protein weights.

Bioscale has launched six-plate cartridges for its VIBE acoustic assay platform, allowing researchers to obtain up to 576 data points per cartridge.
