New Products: Mass Specs from AB Sciex; Sample Prep from Thermo Fisher

AB Sciex this week introduced its new AB Sciex API 3200MD and 3200MD QTRAP mass spectrometers, both intended as in vitro diagnostic devices and registered with the US Food and Drug Administration as Class I exempt devices.

The instruments are intended for measuring both inorganic and organic compounds in human samples for clinical purposes, the company said.


Thermo Fisher Scientific this week launched its Prelude SPLC sample prep and LC system.

The system is intended for routine clinical research, the company said, and features automated sample preparation and dual HPLC channels.
