New Products: Bio-Rad's Bio-Plex Immunoassay Panels and More

Bio-Rad this week launched its new Bio-Plex Pro immunoassay panels – the Human Th17 Cytokine panel for detecting 16 proteins in the Th17 immune response pathway and the Human Cancer Biomarker panel for detection of 16 biomarkers commonly associated with cancer.

The magnetic bead-based assays are designed for preclinical and clinical research into mechanisms of disease and therapeutic drug action.

Compared to other xMAP and ELISA products, the Bio-Plex panels offer faster run times as well as higher sensitivity, precision, and broader assay working ranges, the company said.

IonSense this week introduced its DART-OS source for mass spec analysis without upfront sample prep.

The OS source mounts between a DART source and MS instrument and is designed to operate with equipment from vendors including AB Sciex, Agilent, Bruker, Shimadzu, JEOL, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Waters.
