GE Healthcare this week announced it has added single-use plastic bed supports to its AxiChrom chromatography column platform.

The new supports are designed for use in potentially corrosive conditions, particularly for work with high chloride concentrations at low pH. The bed supports are compatible with all AxiChrom columns and have the same level of regulatory compliance as the columns themselves, the company said.

Pressure BioSciences this week launched sales of its Shredder SG3 sample prep instrument.

The Shredder SG3 is a portable mechanical system for breaking apart difficult-to-disrupt tissue and organism samples that the company said can be used for a variety of life science sample prep applications.
