Norton Scientific this week announced the North American availability of its AstraGene UV/Vis spectrometer.

Intended for the analysis of micro-volume samples of proteins and other molecules, AstraGene allows users to measure the concentration and purity of samples inside pipette tips, simplifying the analysis process and avoiding sample loss, the company said.
