Advion BioServices is offering SISCAPA LC/MS Biomarker assay services under a deal with SISCAPA Assay Technologies.

SISCAPA, short for Stable Isotope Standards with Capture by Anti-Peptide Antibody, is a workflow developed by Leigh Anderson that combines antibody-based peptide enrichment with mass spectrometry, increasing the sensitivity of mass spec instruments, which by themselves are often not sensitive enough to detect low-abundance proteins in complex samples.

Anderson launched SISCAPA Assay Technologies in June to commercialize the method (PM 06/17/2011).
