Sera Prognostics announced this week the appointment of Gregory Critchfield as executive chairman and Mark Ostrowski as president and chief executive officer. Both posts were previously held by company co-founder Dennis Farrar, managing director of seed fund UpStart Ventures, who is stepping down.

Critchfield was previously the president of Myriad Genetics and joined the Sera board in 2010. Ostrowski previously held management positions at companies including Dianon Systems, Myriad Genetics, and Perlegen Sciences.
