Les Paul this week joined Caris Life Sciences as senior vice president, medical affairs. In this role he will lead efforts to inform clinicians about the company's products and direct post-market studies designed to demonstrate their clinical value, the company said.

Previously Paul was head of clinical and scientific affairs for the National Pharmaceutical Council, and prior to that he worked for Novartis and AstraZeneca.


PharmaNet Development Group this week appointed Anthony Maida vice president, clinical research.

Previously Maida ran a private consulting firm focusing on raising capital for pharmaceutical product development. Before that be worked for Lockheed. He has a PhD in tumor immunology from the University of California, Davis.
