Charles Wagner was elected this week to Bruker's board of directors and audit committee. His election returned the company to compliance with the NASDAQ listing requirement that a firm must have at least three independent directors on its audit committee.

Until July of this year Wagner had been corporate vice president and chief financial officer of Millipore. Prior to joining Millipore he worked as a manager and consultant at Bain & Company.

Kreatech Diagnostics this week named Rolf Hansen as director of marketing and sales.

Hansen holds a PhD in Natural Science from the Max Planck Institute and has worked for Qiagen, Beckman Coulter, Miltenyi Biotech, and Transgenomic.

The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center last week appointed Lawrence Corey as president and director, succeeding Lee Hartwell effective Jan. 1, 2011.

Corey is currently senior vice president and co-director of the center's Vaccine and Infectious Disease Institute as well as head of the virology division in the department of laboratory medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
