New England Peptide last week announced the appointment of Ved Srivastava to the newly created position of president for research production.

Srivastava will oversee NEP’s entire production pipeline.

Prior to joining NEP, he was associate director of discovery research at Amylin Pharmaceuticals, where he led the peptide chemistry team, discovery, synthesizing, and developing peptide hormones for diabetes, obesity, and neuropsychiatric therapies. He also directed the research chemistry team at Psylin Neurosciences, a joint venture between Amylin and PsychoGenics.

Srivastava had already been on NEP’s scientific advisory prior to his new appointment.
